Eleocharis Vivipara is commonly known as the Giant Hairgrass, the Tall Hairgrass, or the Umbrella Hairgrass. Unlike other Eleocharis species, this species doesn't propagate via runners.
Eleocharis Vivipara can be propagated via splitting, cutting off daughter plants, and replanted to the ground substrate. The leaf tip will often produce other baby plants. Eleocharis Vivipara is a popular background plant that will grow tall to the very top of your aquarium and sway with the water current to create a jungle-style, dramatic effect for your planted tank.
