Echinodorus Vesuvius (Helanthium) is a cultured species based on Echinodorus Angustifolia from Oriental Aquarium Nursery. The narrow and twisted green leaves make it an unusual addition to the Echinodorus family. The rosette species grows vigorously with many medium lengths and narrow leaves (10-20 cm tall) and is highly decorative as a solitary plant (rosette 10-15 cm wide). Vesuvius spreads readily with runners. An easy and undemanding plant that requires medium to high light to grow well.

Once untangled, I was able to divide the runners into dozens of healthy plants with roots. Great value and prompt shipping.
My Vesuvius cup came in in great shape, in a liquid based medium- no agar gel. This cup was stuffed full of plants! Maybe 30 individual plantlets, all really healthy. The packing of live plants from these guys is top notch as well.
Arrived healthy and quick. I wasn’t too sure on how to plant this as I’m new at the hobby. On the first one I tried to separate and spread it out which didn’t go well so on the remaining three I just took them out of the cup and sprinkled the sand over to burry the roots which worked better. Really happy with the products of APF
The cup was packed with plantlets on runners. I separated the largest six and planted them. I gave the rest to a friend. The look very healthy. This is a new plant for me. I am anxious to see how it groes.
