Staurogyne Repens is a classic foreground aquatic plant due to its compact and small size. Staurogyne is the nearest relative to Hygrophila species but they grow a whole lot low, bushy, and compact. It's a popular carpet plant for fish tanks & aquariums. Staurogyne species can be easily propagated by runners in a proper nutrient-riched planted aquarium environment which makes them the first choice for any aquascape design.

Very happy with this purchase. Repens seem to do well in my tanks and these arrived in great shape…very green and pretty!

My 4th or 5th order from APF and I cant possibly be happier. The Staurogyne Repens has made a wonderful carpet like plant in my tank. Its bright Green in color, grows quickly in my tank and thrives due to daily Co2 injection and Plant tabs buried in the substrate.. Never have I had Algae of any type choke off the growth I cant say that about some of the other carpet type plants Ive tried .If I find that a particular area is looking overgrown, I trim it back and plant it elsewhere. The Repens is a beautiful plant and looks quite attractive along side the Java Ferns and Anubias. I'm grateful to have finally found a reliable and consistent source for healthy aquatic plants.
